從參加布朗夏校和哈佛辯論營的同學(xué)們的分享中，關(guān)于美國大學(xué)的暑期活動(dòng)我們已經(jīng)感受一二了，那么在英國，假期活動(dòng)會(huì)有所不同嗎？

This summer I was so fortunate that I got the opportunity to get involved in a summer school program. That was my first time to fly to England and I enjoyed every moment.

You could choose your courses and which universities do you want to visit in the entry form, I was one of the OCC students and I chose natural science.?What impressed me the most was the mock interview for OCC students.

You were going to be taught how to write a brilliant personal statement in the university counseling classes, then you would send your personal statement to another teacher who was responsible for this.

In the interview, you could obviously have a sense of the style of Cambridge. Actually, I was kind of nervous but the interviewer was so kind that makes me?feel better.

今年夏天，我十分有幸能參加這樣一個(gè)暑期學(xué)校項(xiàng)目。那是我第一次飛到英國，對(duì)我來說每時(shí)每刻都是一種享受。你可以在報(bào)名表上選擇課程和想?yún)⒂^的大學(xué)。作為OCC的學(xué)生之一，我選擇了自然科學(xué)。最讓我印象深刻的是OCC學(xué)生的模擬面試。你將在升學(xué)指導(dǎo)課上被教導(dǎo)如何寫一篇精彩的個(gè)人陳述，然后把它發(fā)送給另一位對(duì)此負(fù)責(zé)的老師。在面試中，你可以明顯地感受到劍橋的風(fēng)格。實(shí)際上，我當(dāng)時(shí)有點(diǎn)緊張，但面試官十分親切，讓我感覺好多了。

In addition, the staff were all accountable. Every night we had a mentoring to summarise what we did in that day and the feelings of us, thus they could make the next program better.?Certainly, we had some collective activities, for instance, the formal dinner and the camping.

We experienced a traditionally English formal dinner which was pretty impressive, and everyone wore their formal suits. All of the dishes looked delicate but some of them did not have a great taste, haha.?We also went to a nearby city to conduct our camping. We had loads of various group activities such as boating and archery.

老師們很負(fù)責(zé)，每天晚上，都有導(dǎo)師來總結(jié)我們當(dāng)天所做的事情和我們的個(gè)人感受，這樣他們就能及時(shí)收到反饋也能把下一次的項(xiàng)目做得更好。當(dāng)然，我們還有一些集體課外活動(dòng)，例如，正式晚宴與野營。我們體驗(yàn)了一次傳統(tǒng)的英國正餐，令人印象深刻。每個(gè)人都穿著正裝，所有的菜品看起來都很精致，盡管其中有些的味道讓人不太好描述。我們還去了附近的一個(gè)城市露營。團(tuán)體活動(dòng)很多，還有諸如劃船和射箭。

I thought the purpose of this program was broadening our horizons and it did really work.
