AIME再往上進行選拔，就是選拔到美國數(shù)學奧林匹克冬令營或夏令營，斯坦福或者是MIT這些著名的學校都會很關(guān)注這個營，因為這個營里大約有50%的學生會直接被挑選到MIT或者斯坦福這樣的學校。

再往上選出的這個選手，就能代表美國國家隊參加國際數(shù)學奧林匹克學術(shù)活動，以上就是AMC的數(shù)學體系。

按照這個比例，我們可以明顯看到，參加AMC的學生每年會有20~25%的遞增。

因為AMC8現(xiàn)在來說還是最有時間去準備的，到了10和12的話，孩子們的時間就會越來越緊張。

那么10和12呢？10就指10年級及10年以下的學生參加，通常是9、10年級的學生參加。

在這里我補充一下，就是這個比賽是可以往上考的，也就是說比如你的孩子是7年級，他可以考AMC8，也可以考10，也可以考12。

AMC8和10的考試時間是不同的，但是10和12是同一天的。

所以說如果學生是7年級8年級的話，可以考一個8，也可以考一個10，但是你就不能考12了，兩者只能選其一。

但是如果你是9年級的話，你就不能再考8了，只能考AMC10，或AMC12。

只能往上考，不能往下考。

剛才說到的，從年齡的這個角度可以來做一個維度劃分，那么從他的數(shù)學水平來說，我們來怎么進行一個劃分，什么樣的學生適合參加AMC呢？前面介紹了那么多優(yōu)勢，對于中國孩子的話，如果說數(shù)學能力很強的學生，那么必然建議他來參加這樣一個考試。

對于數(shù)學基礎(chǔ)薄弱學生，AMC是不是適合他呢？特別是AMC8的這個是否適合他呢？我在這里可以給大家一個非常明確的建議，是非常適合低年級的學生。

特別是對于美高的一些學生，國外數(shù)學的基礎(chǔ)比較薄弱，那么AMC就非常適合于他在這個規(guī)范性的學習當中打下一些基礎(chǔ)。

因為它的很多試題還是貼近于我們中國的數(shù)學大綱的，沒有太多超綱的題，但是要求的是學生在解題速度，在閱讀能力這個綜合能力上去加強。

所以這個比賽，對于低年級的孩子更加適合，它把數(shù)學興趣、數(shù)學規(guī)范性給夯實了。

一旦把數(shù)學的這個規(guī)范性基礎(chǔ)打牢之后，我們就能再到AMC10、AMC12這個要具有想象力、創(chuàng)造力、綜合能力的階段。

因為后面超綱的或者學術(shù)活動題會越來越多，特別是到AMC12的時候，最后的五道題就非常不友好了。

那么在8這個基礎(chǔ)打牢之后，我們就可以把前面的一些題目做對，后面的題目我們就可以適當?shù)娜ヌ魬?zhàn)一下了。

5. AMC獲獎機會 AMC award opportunities

前面我介紹了5%是一個杰出獎，還有個50%是榮譽獎，全球1%是杰出榮譽證書。

還有一個AMC10的獎項是2.5%，會有一些不同。

除了個人獎之外，如果是以學校為單位參加的話，那么學校也會有一個學校獎，同時學校里面的1、2、3名也能夠分別得到金獎、銀獎和銅獎。

以學校參加的個人第一名還會有一個證章，所以這是獎項會非常多。

6年級、6年以下的學生達到一定水平，也會有鼓勵證書，這個其實就是為了鼓勵4、5年級甚至6年級的學生去參與到這個比賽當中。

所以AMC會有大量的低年齡段的學習需求產(chǎn)生。

AMC10得獎率幾乎占到了5.34%，也就是說100個中國學生得獎的人數(shù)應(yīng)該能達到5-6人。

AMC12的得獎率能達到將近12%，也就是100個學生中有12個能夠得到這樣的獎項，但是參與的人數(shù)也是遞減的。

AMC8是基礎(chǔ)量最大的，去年有將近2萬多的學生參加，因為6年級以上的學生損失1萬多以上，所以實際上有3萬多學生。

AMC10有將近1萬多的學生參加，AMC12有大約6000-7000的學生參與。

6. AMC考試規(guī)則 AMC examination rules

參賽對象是八年級的以下的學生，考題都是選擇題，25個選擇題，考試時間是40分鐘，答對一題得一分，答錯或者不打是不得分的。

這是它的一個計算，積分的規(guī)則。

但是10和12就有些不同了，10和12是每年的2月中旬參加考試，因為二月份有春節(jié)，所以它會分A、B卷避開春節(jié)。

10年級及10年級以下的學生參加這個AMC10，考題是25題，時長75分鐘，滿分150分，答對一題6分，不答1.5，答錯不得分，這個規(guī)則和8不太一樣，考完的三、四周頒布成績。

會有一個AIME的邀請賽，這個只針對AMC10或AMC12的孩子去參加比賽，AMC8的孩子就不需要參賽了，沒有一個選拔進晉級的關(guān)系。
