
International Young Physicists’ Tournament(IYPT)全球青年物理學(xué)家錦標(biāo)賽,也被稱為“Physics World Cup(物理世界杯)”,是一個(gè)需要中學(xué)生組隊(duì)參賽的科學(xué)學(xué)術(shù)活動(dòng)。自1988年起,一年一度的IYPT從一個(gè)蘇聯(lián)地方性俄語的學(xué)術(shù)活動(dòng)逐漸成長為一個(gè)全球最大最具聲望的國際物理學(xué)術(shù)活動(dòng)之一。參與者需分享展示他們準(zhǔn)備了好幾個(gè)月的科學(xué)問題解決方案,與其他團(tuán)隊(duì)一起研究辯論,這個(gè)形式成為Physics Fights(PF),并最終將由國際專家組成的評審團(tuán)對Reporter展示者、Opponent競爭者以及Reviewer評審員等進(jìn)行評分。
2018年第31屆IYPT將在北京舉行,由The High School Affiliated to Renmin University of China (RDFZ)中國人民大學(xué)附屬中學(xué)舉辦。由于是國家級賽事且每個(gè)參賽國家僅只有一個(gè)團(tuán)隊(duì)代表,因此中國參賽隊(duì)選拔將從China Young Physicists’ Tournament(CYPT)中國高中生物理創(chuàng)新學(xué)術(shù)活動(dòng)中的優(yōu)勝者組成。
CYPT全程參考IYPT舉辦的全國性賽事,旨在提高學(xué)生綜合運(yùn)用所學(xué)知識(shí)分析解決實(shí)際物理問題的能力,培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的開放性思維能力。2018年CYPT將由南開大學(xué)舉辦,參賽學(xué)生就一些實(shí)際物理問題進(jìn)行團(tuán)隊(duì)合作研究,然后就其物理知識(shí)、理論分析、實(shí)驗(yàn)方案、結(jié)果討論等進(jìn)行辯論性比賽。不僅可以鍛煉學(xué)生的科研素質(zhì), 還能培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的合作精神和交流表達(dá)能力,使學(xué)生的知識(shí)、能力和素質(zhì)全面協(xié)調(diào)發(fā)展。重點(diǎn)是南開大學(xué)將對參加訓(xùn)練營的學(xué)生進(jìn)行學(xué)科考核認(rèn)定并頒發(fā)南開大學(xué)物理學(xué)科等級證書,獲得A等級認(rèn)定資格的同學(xué)若高考報(bào)考南開大學(xué)并被錄取,在南開大學(xué)物理伯苓班(即南開大學(xué)物理拔尖學(xué)生培養(yǎng)試驗(yàn)計(jì)劃)選拔時(shí)優(yōu)先錄取。

Fix one end of a horizontal elastic rod to a rigid stand. Support the other end of the rod with a taut string to avoid vertical deflection and suspend a bob from it on another string (see figure). In the resulting pendulum the radial oscillations (parallel to the rod) can spontaneously convert into azimuthal oscillations (perpendicular to the rod) and vice versa. Investigate the phenomenon.
