Getting outside the typical classroom setting is common at SAS. Our AP Environmental Science students took the opportunity to gather data for survivorship curves by venturing into a fictious campus cemetery - proving that knowledge and fun go hand in hand.

在上海美國學校，進行常規課堂之外的教學很常見。我們的AP環境科學課學生借此機會，冒險進入一個虛擬校園墓地，收集存活曲線數據，證明了學校的課程可以寓教于樂。

The students are further enriched by learning outside and looking at the subject in a more active and experiential way. While it’s housed in the science department, AP Environmental Science is an interdisciplinary course that focuses on ecological processes, human impacts on the Earth, and how to resolve or prevent natural and human-made environmental problems.

通過在戶外學習及以更積極、更富有體驗感的方式研究課題，學生們學到的知識更加豐富。雖然被歸類在科學部門之下，但AP環境科學是一門跨學科課程，主要研究生態過程、人類對地球的影響以及如何解決或預防自然和人為環境問題。
