I’m a writer and an athlete, among other things. Part of what makes my interests seem strange together is how unique and time-consuming they each appear individually.

我不僅是一位作家，還是一位運動員。我的興趣愛好之所以感覺有些不搭，是因為它們都非常獨特，都需要耗費大量時間。

Each of my interests give me an outlet for my emotions and provide ways for me to deliver messages to my community. I find bothenjoyment in my interests and sometimesa sense of satisfaction when I know I’ve helped “expose” other people to what makes me happy.I always hope thatI will help someone find another interest and a way for them to add excitement into their life.

我的每個興趣愛好都是一種情感表達的方式，讓我能夠傳達自己希望傳達的信息。我非常享受這些興趣愛好。當我知道自己能夠讓其他人知道什么才讓我高興時，我還能獲得滿足感。我希望自己能夠幫助其他人找到興趣愛好，為他們的生活增光添彩。

Of course my interests impact each other, and they all require the same use of my energy. For example, writing helps me articulate my emotions while sports allow me to push my emotions through a different andexcitingoutlet. I can also use those two abilities to benefit my community, two birds with one stone.

我的興趣愛好當然會相互影響，因為它們都會消耗我的精力。例如，寫作有助于我表達自己的情感，而體育運動則讓我能夠通過另外一種激動人心的方式發泄自己的情緒。此外，我還可以利用這兩個興趣愛好做對社區有益的事，可謂是“一石二鳥”。

那是肯定。我盡量不因為具體的興趣愛好強迫自己以特定方式行事，不讓自己墨守成規。透過別人的眼睛看自己同樣讓我感到困惑：一位詩歌作家怎么還從事體育運動呢？
