Course Description | 課程簡介

English with Style has been designed for girls to learn more about British culture, modern manners, life skills and style. It aims to raise their self-esteem and to contribute to their personal development in preparation for the adult world.

英國文化 & 淑女禮儀課是針對女孩定制的課程。目標是通過讓她們了解英國的生活和文化，從而提高女孩的生活技能，促進她們的個人發展，提高女孩的自信心，為踏入成人的世界做出準備。參加此課程，必須先上一周－二周的英語&英國文化課程。

English with Style runs for one week only and must be preceded by at least one week of General English and Activities.

Requirement

英語要求：Students must have a spoken level of English that is intermediate or higher? (B2 on the Common European Framework, 5+ on IELTS or Cambridge First Certificate).

年齡：14-17歲（開學前必須滿14歲，課程中會使用化妝、護膚品，對年齡有嚴格的要求）

校園介紹

全寄宿夏校，學校成立于1899年，是英國著名的寄宿制女子私立學校。建校初期面向上層社會招生，生源多來自于世界上知名的家庭，也包括皇室成員。

學校位于英國南部皇家賽馬場阿斯科特，占地36英畝，環境一流。宿舍環境極好，夏校期間由舍監照顧，打理學生的生活起居。

學校設施完善，其中包括：現代化的教室，寬敞的圖書館，全新的表演藝術中心，帶壁球的體育館，羽毛球場，籃球場和舞蹈教室，室內溫水游泳池，網球場，運動場，戲劇和藝術工作室。

英語 & 英國文化周學習主題

每周15小時的英語課程，包括發音、聽力、語法、詞匯、閱讀和寫作技巧。
課后豐富多彩的語言類活動如戲劇、辯論、文化論壇有英國學生參與。
中級和高級別的女孩研究英文文學，并在不同的語境中使用英語。
學校會組織年齡稍大的女孩進行更加認真的討論和辯論，例如模擬聯合國或加入圖書館討論小組。
每周舉行三次項目班，女孩們合作完成一個有吸引力的有趣項目。往年學員做過照片故事，詩歌和戲劇表演，度假宣傳冊，學校雜志。
每天下午都安排了豐富的課外活動，包括：陶藝、繪畫、花藝、面料設計、珠寶設計、攝影、烘焙、制糖、英格蘭蘇格蘭傳統舞蹈、化裝舞會、尋寶、野外定位、瑜伽、羽毛球、網球、時裝秀、達人秀、迪斯科等。每周內容不一樣，滾動進行。
文化游歷是夏校的重要組成部分，學員們將在老師的引領下參觀倫敦的博物館、畫廊，泰晤士河游船觀光，參觀牛津、劍橋、莎士比亞故居、巨石陣等歷史名城和景點，旅行后在課上討論并完成參觀筆記。每周的行程不一樣。

有關夏校資質

夏校一定是有官方機構認證的高校和有資質認證的學校和專業機構才能舉辦。

英國最權威的暑期學校認證機構是英國文化教育處 British Council。在申請語言類研修夏校的時候，一定要看辦學機構是否有British Council 的認證標志。有認證，也就意味著該辦學機構必須遵循英國文化教育處的辦學標準，教師資質認證審核，管理標準，并接受不定期的檢查。英語研修中心通常也會加入 English UK 會員。
