加拿大申請要準(zhǔn)備好

今年中美關(guān)系不好，大家都說要多國申請，加拿大的學(xué)校現(xiàn)在成為必申選項(xiàng)了。而加國最重要的學(xué)校也就是多大，滑鐵盧，麥吉爾和UBC。這幾所里面，多大和滑鐵盧是屬于安省的，都是用OUAC系統(tǒng)，這兩個學(xué)校一起申請的。今天特別提醒，對這兩所學(xué)校有計劃申請的孩子，不能放后面，要把它們放進(jìn)早申類考慮。

多大明確提出，建議國際體系的孩子11.7前就遞交申請（成績等文件后面交），而且說的很清楚，位置滿了就不收了，申請費(fèi)不退。

其實(shí)2018年我就碰到學(xué)生告知，多大發(fā)過這樣奇葩的拒信，說，時間太晚，材料太多，沒空看了，所以把你拒了。。。所以申請多大看來一定得趕早，去晚了再強(qiáng)也沒用。看看下面的英文原文吧：

2020-2021

The university application process starts in the fall of the year before you intend to begin your studies. Be sure to start looking into?Scholarships?right away as well, as some have early deadlines.

We encourage you to submit your application and the appropriate application fee well in advance of the posted deadlines.? Recommended application deadline for OUAC 105, U of T International, Internal and Part-time applications is November 7, 2019. Spaces fill quickly and programs may close before the application deadlines listed below.? If we receive your application from OUAC after the program is closed, your application will be cancelled with no refund.

Approximately one week after we receive your application we will send you an email acknowledgement including your JOINid/UTORid, your University of Toronto applicant number, and full information about the next steps in the application process.

多大有相應(yīng)的托福要求，基礎(chǔ)是100分，寫作要22分，如果弱一點(diǎn)的也要達(dá)到89-99分，由于多大和滑鐵盧是一個OUAC系統(tǒng)，所以既然多大早了，滑鐵盧也要跟上，滑鐵盧最有名的就是它巨大不已的數(shù)院，要申數(shù)學(xué)和計算機(jī)方向的孩子注意了，想提高競爭力，拿獎學(xué)金嗎？看這里：

這是數(shù)學(xué)方向的：

You're strongly encouraged to write theEuclid Mathematics Contest and/or the Canadian Senior Mathematics Contest.

Results of the contests will be used in scholarship decisions and possibly admission decisions for programs in the Faculty of Mathematics.

這是計算機(jī)方向的：

We strongly encourage you to participate in the Canadian Senior Mathematics Contest and/or the Euclid Mathematics Contest to enhance your admissions status.

高中的時候盡量去參加上面提及的相關(guān)學(xué)術(shù)活動吧。

另外，由于COOP的要求， 滑鐵盧的英語水準(zhǔn)其實(shí)要求很高，別看只要90分， 但是兩個單項(xiàng)，寫作和口語25分，我估計得卡掉一大堆人。大家掏出成績單看看。

最后，給大家一些加拿大申請的幾個通用注意點(diǎn)：

1.GPA 特別重要，越高越好。

2. 申請遞交要趕早。

3.文件一定要交全。成績等文件的遞交自己關(guān)注，是否遞交成功沒系統(tǒng)沒人提醒。所以得自己盯著。

4.加國體系的孩子錄取明顯和國際生不在一個pool里面，他們錄取信息會早很多。

5.加國的申請費(fèi)比較貴，心疼。

6.大部分神奇的加國學(xué)校要高考成績或者會考證明。

7. 多大有兩個校區(qū)，水平其實(shí)不一樣，申請時候要注意。

8.滑鐵盧的COOP很搶手，5年中2年工作，基本孩子自己賺學(xué)費(fèi)，家長壓力減少很多，不過孩子讀書的壓力很大，自己斟酌。

9. 麥吉爾是法語區(qū)，去了要學(xué)法語，好處是畢業(yè)基本就綠卡到手，留下來容易。
