The classes are extremely difficult and require a lot of work put into them. The professors teach decently and as a student you need to be on top of everything to do well. It teaches you to be responsible for what your grades are.

University of Rochester is an extremely hard school. All of the students are very smart and focused on academics as well as extracurricular activities. Many students complete their undergrad at U of R and go to even higher ranking universities for graduate school.

Campus 校園

The River Campus is not in downtown Rochester; however, I usually go downtown every week for lessons at Eastman or to hang out with friends. There are always events and concerts to go to on and off campus as well. UR provides transportation to Marketplace Mall/Wegman's, as well as Pittsford Plaza, so getting groceries or going shopping is quite feasible. Public Safety (campus police) doesn't do much, though. They seem to be bored and too quick to assume things about what people are doing (smoking, drinking, etc.). All in all, it's a beautiful campus and I wouldn't want to go anywhere else.

The campus is bordered by a river and park, so scenery is great. Shopping is a free shuttle away, though the ride is pretty long.

The campus is beautiful, the library is everything a library should be, and the study spaces are comfortable and plentiful. I can't really complain about the facilities.
