先弄清楚自己的郵件是正式的還是非正式的,寫法不同。
The reason for writing 要確認(rèn)好信件格式
Enquiry (to ask for information)
Request (to ask someone to do something)
Apology (to say sorry) or complaint (to complain?about a problem)
— I am writing to provide the information you requested.
— Could you possibly…
—?I would be grateful if you could…
—?I am writing to apologize…
—?I am afraid that…
一.Informal letter(非正式信函):
1.Beginning(開頭): Dear + first name
2.Friendly greeting(寒暄): I hope this letter finds you well.
3.Contractions(寫縮寫): I'm, didn't, couldn't, there's...

二.Formal letter(正式信函):
1.Beginning(開頭):Dear Sir or Madam
2.No greeting necessary(不用寒暄)
3.No contractions(不準(zhǔn)用縮寫!): I am, did not...
4.Normally avoid direct questions(問問題要客氣):"I would like" instead of "Can I have?"
5.No exclamation marks( 不要驚嘆) (!)
6.Linking(連接詞不要口語化): However, Consequently, and, also
7.Phrases and vocabulary(用詞稍高級):with regard to, appliance, it was installed, the following day, failed to (meaning "didn't"), procedure, he assured me, report the issue, contacted, under warranty, I am entitled to, replacement, phone me personally
8.Ending(結(jié)尾):I await your prompt response,Yours faithfully + full nameNote:Both letters also contain 'neutral' vocabulary that can be used in any type of letter. For example, I didn't highlight words like 'hosts', 'deadline' or 'assignment' because they could be used in both formal and informal contexts.
有用表達(dá):
Openings(開頭):一般都是Dear+人名
The standard opening for formal correspondence is?Dear:
關(guān)系親密的話就直接"Dear+人名(Dear Cook,) ". 關(guān)系不很親密的話就要用"Dear+姓(Dear Mr. Cui,)".女性不知道是否結(jié)婚的時候就用"Ms."。不知道姓名的時候可以用Dear Sir or Madam或者To Whom It May Concern
常見的:
Dear sir
Dear Mr.
Dear Madam
Dear Mrs.
Dear Sir or Madam
