Principal's Message for April 2019Dear Parents/ guardians,In the first month of spring 2019, our students were busy with both indoors and outdoors activities in addition to taking part in some well-known province-wide competitions.As the weather is getting warmer, the outdoor activities are encouraged so the school organized a field trip for ESL students to visit downtown Toronto and spend a few hours touring Ripley's Aquarium of Canada. Students learned about the ecosystems of Canada's Great Lakes and surrounding seas at Canadian Waters, saw the fish from the tropical waters of the indo-Pacific and enjoyed a light show from the dancing jellyfish at Planet Jellies.

親愛的家長們： 在2019年春季的第一個月，我們的學生參加了各種各樣的課內課外活動及省級的學術學術活動。 氣溫已逐漸轉暖，越來越多的室外活動融入到了課堂中，例如學校組織了ESL學生參觀多倫多市中心的瑞普利水族館，學生們了解了加拿大湖水生態系統及周圍的海洋環境，觀察了印度洋-太平洋海域的熱帶魚類，及在水母館欣賞了水母的燈光秀。 ?水族館之旅

The students at Nutrition and Health class had a food lab in which they became familiar with the nutritious values of certain food ingredients. They were very creative in making new recipes and enjoyed cooperating as a team to make delicious sandwiches. In the end, they invited the school administrator and some of the staff members to taste their delicious creations!

在營養與健康課程上，學生們進行了一次科學有益的食品實驗室活動，在活動中，學生熟悉了食物營養成分。大家紛紛展示出了創造性的新配方，通力合作，完成了美味的三明治。最后，學生們邀請老師和工作人員們一起品嘗了這些美味食物。

Every year, William Academy actively takes part in the math competition organized by the University of Waterloo. Being nicknamed, "the MIT of the North", this university has world-renowned computer science and computer engineering programs and holds math competitions at different levels for all students in Ontario. It is an honor to announce that our school received 2 Medals and 1 Certificate of Distinction for 2 of the participating students.

The winners are as follows:- Mr. Wang, Xutao received a Medal and a Certificate of Distinction in Cayley (grade 10) Math Contest.-Mr. Chen, Yixuan received a Medal in Fermat (grade 11) Math Contest.? The medals and award were granted by University of Waterloo's Center for Education in Mathematics and Computing and will be given to these students in the school graduation ceremony which will happen next month to formally appreciate their commitment and hard work. Congratulations to both of them!

每年，威廉學院都將主動參與到滑鐵盧大學舉辦的數學學術活動中，作為“北方的麻省理工”，滑鐵盧大學的計算機科學系、計算機工程系世界聞名，并每年都有面向安大略省學生的各級別數學學術活動。我非常榮幸的宣布，本校在今年的學術活動中，有兩名學生榮獲了兩枚獎牌及一份榮譽證書。

他們是： - Mr. Wang, Xutao 在Cayley(10年級數學)類別獲得1枚獎牌及1份榮譽證書 - Mr. Chen, Yixuan 在Fermat(11年級數學)類別獲得1枚獎牌 獎牌和獎狀由滑鐵盧大學的數學和計算機教育中心授予，并將在下月本校即將舉行的畢業典禮上正式頒發給學生，作為對其努力學習的表彰。
