Programme Overview

Machine learning, data mining and high-performance computing are concerned with the automated analysis of large-scale data by computer, in order to extract the useful knowledge hidden in it. Using state-of-the-art artificial intelligence methods, this technology builds computer systems capable of learning from past experience, allowing them to adapt to new tasks, predict future developments and provide intelligent decision support.機(jī)器學(xué)習(xí)、數(shù)據(jù)挖掘和高性能計算是計算機(jī)對大規(guī)模數(shù)據(jù)進(jìn)行自動分析，以提取其中隱藏的有用知識。該技術(shù)采用最先進(jìn)的人工智能方法，構(gòu)建了能夠從過去經(jīng)驗(yàn)中學(xué)習(xí)的計算機(jī)系統(tǒng)，使其能夠適應(yīng)新的任務(wù)，預(yù)測未來發(fā)展，并提供智能決策支持。

The pass mark set by the University for any level 7(M) unit is 50 out of 100.

Academic Requirements

An upper second-class honours degree with a final average of 65 per cent or above (or international equivalent) in any subject other than computer science.
