「夏校分享 3.0」| 倫敦政治經濟學院

其實對于每一個學習經管、國關、法律甚至是政治學的同學來說，倫敦政治經濟學院（LSE）都或多或少地成為我們的dream school ，po主也不例外。所以今年暑假，為了去探究LSE的教學模式是不是真的能讓我適應，為了認識更多的來自世界各地的學霸大佬，同時也為了深度探究倫敦，我就報名了LSE的summer school,在羅素廣場附近度過了充滿愛與自由、收獲與回憶的21天。

這篇推送主要將從以下四個方面來記錄有關夏校的點滴

01/夏校簡介

LSE的summer school是一個不需要通過我們學校的官網去申請的項目，換言之，它是一個完全獨立的項目，是一個對全世界每一個有志于體驗LSE生活并且學習能力達標的同學都開放的項目。

課程涵蓋的范圍很多，總共包括八個大類。每個類別基本就對應著LSE的一個院系。每個大類旗下又設立了許多個不同的課程，大約共有100門課。在暑校中，我們需要做的就是用21天的時間去消化LSE的學生一年所需要學習的一門課程。我們每天需要學習的固定時間包括3個小時的Lecture,以及2個小時的class(seminar)。另外由于有期中考試（論文）和期末考試（論文）的存在，大家的課后和周末時間也都需要抽出一部分時間來學習。因此，LSE的summer school是個強度非常大的暑校，但是如果認真去學，確實能收獲很多知識。

課程的授課老師均為正課時的授課老師，一般一門課會有2個老師，分別教授期中考試前的課程和qian zh均是來自各個領域的大牛，甚至還有諾貝爾獎得主。

課程分為100 Level,200 Level,以及300 Level。

100 Level：英國大一（國內大一）的難度

200 Level：英國大二（國內大二/大三）的難度

300Level：英國大三/研究生（國內大四/研究生）的難度

在每個課程前都有編號，第一個數字便是難度級數。

上面列出的是明年暑校開放的所有課程，但是這些課程并不會在同一個時間開放。LSE的暑校共有三個時間，Session one的時間是6月17日到7月5日，Session two的時間是7月8日到7月26日，Session three的時間是7月29日-8月16日。具體哪些課程會在什么時候開放還需要大家自己登陸官網查看。

部分課程可以轉換學分，但是具體哪些課程可以還需要聯系自己的學校，詢問相關的工作人員。

課程的學費

可以看到，單個session的價格是2300磅，但是如果同時上兩個或者三個session，價格會優惠很多。如果因為語言成績不達標，需要上一周的語言課，語言課的單價是690磅。

此外，這個價格不包括住宿費用，在暑校期間，倫敦政經的宿舍是向我們開放的，可以提前定取，每周的價格在200～300磅之間，價格有些小貴，并且房間也不是很大。

02/申請流程

申請LSE暑校需要交納申請費50磅。

課程申請要求及相關證明

100 Level：需要提供被大學錄取的通知書，同時一些數理的課程需要提供有關數學課程的背景。

200 Level：需要提供相關初級課程的背景。

300Level：需要提供相關中級課程的背景。同時官網也明確指出對GPA的要求，希望背景課程的GPA在3.3以上。

語言成績：官網給出的要求是雅思7.0以上，托福107以上，但是由于我們是英本的學生，所以不需要提供語言憑證。我還認識一些國內來的同學，提交了英文授課的證明，也不需要提供語言了。所以官網的要求可伸縮的空間還是相對很大的，并不是那么死板。

申請基本流程

不需要Personal Statement,也不需要Reference Letter, 只需要按照官網流程填寫表格，表格中填寫的信息包括個人基本信息、想要申請的課程、教育背景、證明材料等。整個申請流程預計10-15分鐘即可。

由于我們本身是英國大學的在讀學生，所以不需要額外申請簽證，可以直接用T4簽證入境。去年關于這個問題我特意咨詢了夏校相關人員，收到的答復是summer school可以作為一種補充學習，所以是不用重新申請簽證的。當然大家也可以在本學年的課程結束后在英國一直呆到暑校開始，就不要再擔心簽證的問題了～

我是去年申請一開放就申請的（大約是11月底），當時選擇的課程是EC101: Introductory Microeconomics，但是后來想到這門課程和我大一一年所學的Microeconomics內容應該是一樣的，所以在暑假再上一遍這門課實在是有些浪費，所以在3月份的時候提交了換課申請。如果想要換課的話需要向暑校的office發送一封郵件，大約兩個工作日后工作人員會發來一個新的申請鏈接，在里面可以進行重新申請。我的換課是成功的，換課后我所讀的課程是ME200: Computational Methods in Financial Mathematics。不過值得注意的是，填寫了換課申請后等于直接放棄了自己剛開始的課，如果后面換的課也沒有通過申請的話，也無法自動回到前面的課，所以還請大家評估自己的實際情況，可能會承擔一定的風險。

LSE的課程申請截止日期各不相同，一般是根據課程的容量來決定的。一些熱門課程會截止的非常迅速，比如MG101: Marketing ，去年大約在3月份就截止。但是有的課程直到5月份都依舊是開放的。所以究竟什么時候申請還是要大家自己定奪。
