「夏校分享 3.0」| 倫敦政治經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)院

其實(shí)對(duì)于每一個(gè)學(xué)習(xí)經(jīng)管、國(guó)關(guān)、法律甚至是政治學(xué)的同學(xué)來(lái)說(shuō)，倫敦政治經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)院（LSE）都或多或少地成為我們的dream school ，po主也不例外。所以今年暑假，為了去探究LSE的教學(xué)模式是不是真的能讓我適應(yīng)，為了認(rèn)識(shí)更多的來(lái)自世界各地的學(xué)霸大佬，同時(shí)也為了深度探究倫敦，我就報(bào)名了LSE的summer school,在羅素廣場(chǎng)附近度過(guò)了充滿(mǎn)愛(ài)與自由、收獲與回憶的21天。

這篇推送主要將從以下四個(gè)方面來(lái)記錄有關(guān)夏校的點(diǎn)滴

01/夏校簡(jiǎn)介

LSE的summer school是一個(gè)不需要通過(guò)我們學(xué)校的官網(wǎng)去申請(qǐng)的項(xiàng)目，換言之，它是一個(gè)完全獨(dú)立的項(xiàng)目，是一個(gè)對(duì)全世界每一個(gè)有志于體驗(yàn)LSE生活并且學(xué)習(xí)能力達(dá)標(biāo)的同學(xué)都開(kāi)放的項(xiàng)目。

課程涵蓋的范圍很多，總共包括八個(gè)大類(lèi)。每個(gè)類(lèi)別基本就對(duì)應(yīng)著LSE的一個(gè)院系。每個(gè)大類(lèi)旗下又設(shè)立了許多個(gè)不同的課程，大約共有100門(mén)課。在暑校中，我們需要做的就是用21天的時(shí)間去消化LSE的學(xué)生一年所需要學(xué)習(xí)的一門(mén)課程。我們每天需要學(xué)習(xí)的固定時(shí)間包括3個(gè)小時(shí)的Lecture,以及2個(gè)小時(shí)的class(seminar)。另外由于有期中考試（論文）和期末考試（論文）的存在，大家的課后和周末時(shí)間也都需要抽出一部分時(shí)間來(lái)學(xué)習(xí)。因此，LSE的summer school是個(gè)強(qiáng)度非常大的暑校，但是如果認(rèn)真去學(xué)，確實(shí)能收獲很多知識(shí)。

課程的授課老師均為正課時(shí)的授課老師，一般一門(mén)課會(huì)有2個(gè)老師，分別教授期中考試前的課程和qian zh均是來(lái)自各個(gè)領(lǐng)域的大牛，甚至還有諾貝爾獎(jiǎng)得主。

課程分為100 Level,200 Level,以及300 Level。

100 Level：英國(guó)大一（國(guó)內(nèi)大一）的難度

200 Level：英國(guó)大二（國(guó)內(nèi)大二/大三）的難度

300Level：英國(guó)大三/研究生（國(guó)內(nèi)大四/研究生）的難度

在每個(gè)課程前都有編號(hào)，第一個(gè)數(shù)字便是難度級(jí)數(shù)。

上面列出的是明年暑校開(kāi)放的所有課程，但是這些課程并不會(huì)在同一個(gè)時(shí)間開(kāi)放。LSE的暑校共有三個(gè)時(shí)間，Session one的時(shí)間是6月17日到7月5日，Session two的時(shí)間是7月8日到7月26日，Session three的時(shí)間是7月29日-8月16日。具體哪些課程會(huì)在什么時(shí)候開(kāi)放還需要大家自己登陸官網(wǎng)查看。

部分課程可以轉(zhuǎn)換學(xué)分，但是具體哪些課程可以還需要聯(lián)系自己的學(xué)校，詢(xún)問(wèn)相關(guān)的工作人員。

課程的學(xué)費(fèi)

可以看到，單個(gè)session的價(jià)格是2300磅，但是如果同時(shí)上兩個(gè)或者三個(gè)session，價(jià)格會(huì)優(yōu)惠很多。如果因?yàn)檎Z(yǔ)言成績(jī)不達(dá)標(biāo)，需要上一周的語(yǔ)言課，語(yǔ)言課的單價(jià)是690磅。

此外，這個(gè)價(jià)格不包括住宿費(fèi)用，在暑校期間，倫敦政經(jīng)的宿舍是向我們開(kāi)放的，可以提前定取，每周的價(jià)格在200～300磅之間，價(jià)格有些小貴，并且房間也不是很大。

02/申請(qǐng)流程

申請(qǐng)LSE暑校需要交納申請(qǐng)費(fèi)50磅。

課程申請(qǐng)要求及相關(guān)證明

100 Level：需要提供被大學(xué)錄取的通知書(shū)，同時(shí)一些數(shù)理的課程需要提供有關(guān)數(shù)學(xué)課程的背景。

200 Level：需要提供相關(guān)初級(jí)課程的背景。

300Level：需要提供相關(guān)中級(jí)課程的背景。同時(shí)官網(wǎng)也明確指出對(duì)GPA的要求，希望背景課程的GPA在3.3以上。

語(yǔ)言成績(jī)：官網(wǎng)給出的要求是雅思7.0以上，托福107以上，但是由于我們是英本的學(xué)生，所以不需要提供語(yǔ)言憑證。我還認(rèn)識(shí)一些國(guó)內(nèi)來(lái)的同學(xué)，提交了英文授課的證明，也不需要提供語(yǔ)言了。所以官網(wǎng)的要求可伸縮的空間還是相對(duì)很大的，并不是那么死板。

申請(qǐng)基本流程

不需要Personal Statement,也不需要Reference Letter, 只需要按照官網(wǎng)流程填寫(xiě)表格，表格中填寫(xiě)的信息包括個(gè)人基本信息、想要申請(qǐng)的課程、教育背景、證明材料等。整個(gè)申請(qǐng)流程預(yù)計(jì)10-15分鐘即可。

由于我們本身是英國(guó)大學(xué)的在讀學(xué)生，所以不需要額外申請(qǐng)簽證，可以直接用T4簽證入境。去年關(guān)于這個(gè)問(wèn)題我特意咨詢(xún)了夏校相關(guān)人員，收到的答復(fù)是summer school可以作為一種補(bǔ)充學(xué)習(xí)，所以是不用重新申請(qǐng)簽證的。當(dāng)然大家也可以在本學(xué)年的課程結(jié)束后在英國(guó)一直呆到暑校開(kāi)始，就不要再擔(dān)心簽證的問(wèn)題了～

我是去年申請(qǐng)一開(kāi)放就申請(qǐng)的（大約是11月底），當(dāng)時(shí)選擇的課程是EC101: Introductory Microeconomics，但是后來(lái)想到這門(mén)課程和我大一一年所學(xué)的Microeconomics內(nèi)容應(yīng)該是一樣的，所以在暑假再上一遍這門(mén)課實(shí)在是有些浪費(fèi)，所以在3月份的時(shí)候提交了換課申請(qǐng)。如果想要換課的話(huà)需要向暑校的office發(fā)送一封郵件，大約兩個(gè)工作日后工作人員會(huì)發(fā)來(lái)一個(gè)新的申請(qǐng)鏈接，在里面可以進(jìn)行重新申請(qǐng)。我的換課是成功的，換課后我所讀的課程是ME200: Computational Methods in Financial Mathematics。不過(guò)值得注意的是，填寫(xiě)了換課申請(qǐng)后等于直接放棄了自己剛開(kāi)始的課，如果后面換的課也沒(méi)有通過(guò)申請(qǐng)的話(huà)，也無(wú)法自動(dòng)回到前面的課，所以還請(qǐng)大家評(píng)估自己的實(shí)際情況，可能會(huì)承擔(dān)一定的風(fēng)險(xiǎn)。

LSE的課程申請(qǐng)截止日期各不相同，一般是根據(jù)課程的容量來(lái)決定的。一些熱門(mén)課程會(huì)截止的非常迅速，比如MG101: Marketing ，去年大約在3月份就截止。但是有的課程直到5月份都依舊是開(kāi)放的。所以究竟什么時(shí)候申請(qǐng)還是要大家自己定奪。
