美國再次新增8個STEM專業(yè)！更多專業(yè)畢業(yè)可留美三年！

最近，美國國際教育學會（International Education Exchange）根據(jù)《2022年美國門戶開放報告》發(fā)布了一份報告。根據(jù)該報告，STEM專業(yè)仍然非常受歡迎，約有53%的國際學生選擇攻讀STEM專業(yè)。其中，研究生階段的STEM專業(yè)占比為62%，本科階段為40%。未來，STEM專業(yè)的申請競爭將變得更加激烈。

根據(jù)《聯(lián)邦公報》7月12日的消息，美國國土安全部和移民局聯(lián)合宣布對STEM專業(yè)范圍進行修訂。去年新增了22個STEM專業(yè)，而現(xiàn)在又新增了8個專業(yè)領域，包括建筑、機械、計算機、心理學和地理等。這意味著學生在這些專業(yè)領域也有資格申請OPT延期了！

OPT全稱是Optional Practical Training，是指留學生在畢業(yè)后繼續(xù)以F1學生簽證身份在美國帶薪實習，一般被認為是留學生在拿到H1B工作簽證之前的過渡性簽證。

OPT一共分為兩種類型：普通OPT和STEM OPT。普通OPT的期限為12個月，而STEM OPT可以獲得額外的24個月延期，共計3年。

新增的8個研究領域被納入STEM：

3）Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering Technology /Technician（15.0407 機電一體化、機器人與自動化工程技術）包括：

Robotics

4）Composite Materials Technology/Technician（15.0617 復合材料技術/技術員）包括：
