Columbia University Summer Immersion暑期沉浸項目是哥倫比亞大學旗下為高中生和大一新生準備的學術型夏校，時長分三周和一周兩種。哥倫比亞大學（Columbia University），簡稱為哥大。八大常春藤盟校之一，2018年US News 排名第5，是一所位于美國紐約曼哈頓的世界頂級的私立研究型大學。Summer Immersion暑期沉浸項目根據不時長不同地區共分3個項目，分別針對不同年級的學生：

• New York City紐約地區：3周項目，共有兩個Sessions，針對進入grades 11-12在校學生及秋季即將成為大一新生

• Barcelona巴薩羅那：3周項目，針對進入grades 11-12在校學生以及秋季即將成為大一新生
  • 由哥大與?University of Barcelona巴塞羅那大學合作的項目。巴塞羅那大學與1450年成立，是Catalonia地區最古老的學校，也是西班牙第二大的大學。在巴塞羅那大學的三周時間里，學生將由機會全面感受巴塞羅那的歷史、藝術、城市發展以及語言，幫助他們加深對對歐洲共同體如何發展地方、區域、國家和國際身份的理解。學生們除了在課堂上跟著巴塞羅那大學的教授學習外，還將有機會進入城市本身，瀏覽重要景點等。

整個Summer Immersion哥大沉浸式夏校比較適合剛上高中的同學們，沒有學業的緊張和考試的壓力，可以盡情的享受名校的教育資源，體驗美國的教育和文化，也能在夏校的學習中提升自己的背景實力，更重要的是，你可以在夏校過程中發現自己感興趣的學科方向，為將來的申請做出合理的計劃和準備。俗話說的好，只有經歷了才知道適合不適合自己！

Barcelona巴薩羅那

所有選擇Barcelona巴薩羅那校區的學生，都必須參加以下四門課程，課程為英語授課：

• Barcelona in Historical Context:Roman Origins to the Spanish Civil War：教師將在西班牙和歐洲的背景下，通過參觀考古發掘、博物館、宮殿、紀念碑和房屋 等幫助學生對歐洲城市的發展尤其是這座城市有更多的了解。每周課時三個半小時，課程研究的課題包括:
  • how a small Roman city became a major medieval metropolis小羅馬城市如何成為主要的中世紀的大都市

• New York City（3-week）紐約地區（三周）：
  • Session 1：2020年6月29日-7月17日
  • Session 2：2020年7月21日-8月7日
• New York City（1-week）紐約地區（一周）：2020年8月10日-8月14日
• Barcelona巴薩羅那：7月1日-7月21日（預計）

申請要求

登陸查看具體申請要求

1. 針對9-12年級在校學生以及大一新生，入營滿16周歲可住宿，滿15周歲經批準可住宿
2. 對申請學生沒有GPA的最低要求，但是需要學生具備必要的學術背景和能力及學習的積極性
3. 部分學生可能會被抽取面試
4. 對于國際學生沒有語言標化成績的硬性提交要求，但是要求語言能力TOEFL不低于90分IELTS不低于6.5分
5. 國際學生簽證：由于項目并不提供學分及學術證書所以不提供學生簽證，不過前期學生以旅游B簽證參加項目
6. 申請材料
   • 在線填寫申請表
   • 申請費：80美金(1月17日之前提交申請的免申請費）
   • 初中和高中所有已有的在校成績
     • 在提交網上申請時可以使用分官方成績單，但是后續招生辦可能會要求提供官方成績單
     • 成績單需為英文，國際學生需要提供官方翻譯
     • 如果成績單不是按照美國評分標準的學生需要提供grading key
   • Personal Essay個人文書
   • Behavioral Standards Consent Form
   • 兩封推薦信
     1. 第一封：來自guidance counselor，principal或者headmaster的推薦信，指明學生的intellectual ability心智，level of maturity成熟度，和motivation積極性
     2. 第二封：根據不同的年級有不同的要求
        • Rising Juniors and Seniors：推薦信需要來自學生申請課程最相關領域且教過你的老師（必須為學生在校老師），內容包含學生對該領域的了解程度以及學習能力等
        • Rising Freshmen and Sophomores：推薦信需要來自對學生學習非常了解的老師（必須為學生在校老師），內容包含學生學術天賦以及潛力
   • 寫作樣品（僅針對需要申請creative writing相關課程的學生）
   • 標化成績：沒有硬性要求，如果有建議提供
7. 項目費用預計11,064美金(三周，含食宿）
