在托福寫作中，有一個經常困惑小伙伴的一個問題。那就是：我的用詞是不是越復雜分數越高？其實，對于一篇書面文章來說，用詞的準確得體肯定是被優先考慮的，其次是多樣性。

在官方指南中，評分標準也包含對用詞要求的表述：
所以想要提高托福寫作的一大方法，就是避免重復用詞！如果不是為了修辭需要（比如排比和強調），我們應該盡量減少寫作中的重復用詞。作文中使用這些同義的替換詞，可以讓托福考官們眼前一亮！強烈建議先碼后看哦！

替換詞：celebrities （單數為 celebrity）

2. opinion 觀點
替換詞：perspective / standpoint (means looking at an event or situation in a particular way)

3. complex 復雜的
替換詞：intricate (if something is intricate, it often has many small parts and details)

替換詞：component

5. person 人
替換詞：individual

6. friends 朋友、同伴
替換詞：companions

7. enemy 敵人
替換詞：opponent / foe

最后，還是要叮囑小伙伴們，在托福寫作中，我們首先追求的是準確得體。在背誦單詞的時候不能孤立地從詞語本身的含義著眼，而應從具體的語境，另外，要考慮用詞得體，考慮場景、修飾對象、褒貶色彩、風格統一...不可因追求“高級表達”而使用不熟悉或者沒有把握的詞語。
