Well, that’s when you compose a piece of music. The interesting thing about that is, you can say the good thing about that there’s no specific rule. You can do a freestyle composition, whatever you wanna compose. Or if you’re not comfortable making up your own style of composition, you can follow some of the techniques we studied, like sonata form, or fugue.

You can do different pieces. You can do one instrument that you’re good at, comfortable with, that’s what they recommend actually. So the teacher gives the final mark. And then they get sent to the IBO and they check whether they agree with the teacher. Sometimes they give a little lower. Sometimes they give a little higher. Mostly within the same range.
