01牛津材料系面試

牛津有最好的材料導(dǎo)師，也有最大的大學(xué)圖書(shū)館。宿舍條件很好就像開(kāi)放日一樣。牛津的tutorial系統(tǒng)也非常吸引人。

牛津是一個(gè)更好的做學(xué)術(shù)的地方。

I was asked about structures of crystals. Device and experiments to determine identity of unknown metal; why is glass transparent?

02牛津數(shù)學(xué)系面試

我被第一個(gè)問(wèn)題困住了，要通過(guò)歸納證明一些關(guān)于數(shù)論和幾何不等式。

第二個(gè)問(wèn)題比較容易，是有關(guān)于微分，三角函數(shù)和概率。

03牛津物理系面試

我的第一次（物理）面試非常難，因?yàn)橛龅降膯?wèn)題與我所期望的不同，他們會(huì)讓我做很多題，而不是問(wèn)一些general?Physics的問(wèn)題，并且有時(shí)候會(huì)刨根問(wèn)底。

所以參加一些模擬面試是很有幫助的。

我的第二次（數(shù)學(xué)）面試體驗(yàn)要好得多，因?yàn)閷?dǎo)師們非常友好，即使卡殼了也沒(méi)有關(guān)系。

我的第三次面試是在Wadham，導(dǎo)師給了我很多引導(dǎo)。

04牛津地球科學(xué)面試

The questions are about Radiocarbon dating (14C-12C)，what could we use it for? Other?variables to take into account when looking at decay rates?

在問(wèn)了上述Generic questions后，還有一系列問(wèn)題：C=Ce^-kt, What is k? Is it the rate at which C14 decays? How would you design an experiment to calculate K? How long would you leave the mass to decay?

05牛津化學(xué)系面試

我進(jìn)行了3次面試，每次面試20分鐘，每個(gè)面試有2位面試官（2位輔導(dǎo)老師，或1位輔導(dǎo)老師和1名研究生）。

我被問(wèn)到了有機(jī)化學(xué)1題，無(wú)機(jī)化學(xué)1題，物理1題。事先我們都被安排到一個(gè)房間與面試官見(jiàn)面，并被告知面試流程讓我們不用過(guò)于緊張。

在我第一次面試（有機(jī)）時(shí)，面試官問(wèn)了我的相關(guān)項(xiàng)目和我未來(lái)計(jì)劃作為開(kāi)場(chǎng)白。面試的確有些難，但我覺(jué)得要享受整個(gè)過(guò)程。面試官不會(huì)難倒學(xué)生，如果做不出，他們會(huì)給hint，所以不要太擔(dān)心。

面試建議：

需要非常了解AS化學(xué)，也可能會(huì)涉及到A2的知識(shí)。我覺(jué)得沒(méi)有必要在課程提綱外學(xué)習(xí)很多東西（有些人會(huì)學(xué)大量大學(xué)內(nèi)容），因?yàn)槊嬖囁麄兛嫉氖俏覀內(nèi)绾翁幚硇轮R(shí)和新概念，以及如何將自己了解的知識(shí)應(yīng)用到其他領(lǐng)域，而不是學(xué)到了多少知識(shí)。

06劍橋自然科學(xué)面試

其實(shí)面試非常有趣。

從根本上講，這就像和老師一起上一對(duì)一的課程。我邊想邊說(shuō)，并準(zhǔn)確地解釋了我的想法，感覺(jué)面試得很好。

我被問(wèn)到了關(guān)于?differences and similarities between diamond and graphite, three Newtons laws of motion, electromagnetism，microwave-oven, drawing graphs of motion.

07劍橋醫(yī)學(xué)系面試

They were quite nice and very direct. All questions asked were scientific and A LOT of help was provided. The atmosphere is just amazing, just like a supervision. If you are keen to learn, you would enjoy it. Don’t forget that the type of questions they ask is related to the subjects you do at A-level. They?asked many questions on Heart. (mechanism). They asked me to draw an exponential graph to show the spread of a disease.

His advice: the interview is very important; make sure you know your A-level Biology inside out. Do extra reading on human body. Cambridge interviews are better because they concentrate on Biology and medical related topics (unlike Oxford where you get asked Physics questions if you have done Physics AS). You have to be good at answering confidently, talk a lot in the interview, and show that you are interest. Most importantly, enjoy the experience!
