愛拼才會贏！協和第十六屆英語節暨讀書周雙料來襲 | Word Fun, World FUN!

近兩周內，伴隨著讀書周的魅力，神秘的Ms Bee和Mr Bee又為我們共同開啟了第十六屆英語節的歡樂序幕。協和學子們每天忙于練習拼讀單詞，隨時隨地感受拼詞比賽的激烈角逐，當然還有走在校園里都能偶遇的“故事大王”....除了這些，你想不想知道，我們還在英語節“玩”了什么？

The students from SUIS Hongqiao Campus Pioneer Curriculum took part in the 16th English Festival during the last two weeks. They enjoyed learning English through Storytelling, Word Chains, Spelling Bees and a variety of fun English activities. They were all 'busy like bees' everyday!

We met Dav Pilkey at SUIS!

Dav Pilkey來了！沒錯，就是那本蟬聯紐約時報暢銷書排行榜榜首、也深受協和學子熱愛的《神探狗狗》作者，知名美國兒童作家Dav Pilkey。他在英語節期間造訪協和，為我們帶來了他筆下冒險世界背后的動人故事。

Dav Pilkey was here! He is the famous author of the amazing book series'Dog Man', which is always on New York Times bestseller list，andalso deeply loved by SUIS students. He visited SUIS during our English Festival and brought usspecialstories from how his upbringing influenced his world of creativity.

在本屆讀書周熱潮中，我們有幸聆聽了不少新奇有趣的故事，盡情遨游書海之余，誰不想成為里面的小小英雄？這天，最喜歡的書中人物都來到身邊，盛裝開啟一場奇幻Party，師生同臺大膽展示，自信令我們神采飛揚。

Our teachers told us attractive stories during the Book Week, which made us eager to be the characters in these stories. On the Dress-up Day,teachers and students dressed astheir favourite characters in creative ways. They also did fun parades on the stage like superstars!

閱讀，為我們打開了面向世界的一扇扇窗；與小伙伴共讀，則讓窗外的風景愈加迷人。更有不少學子每天徜徉在書籍置換區，共享豐盛的精神食糧。

If reading had opened a window to the world for us, reading with friends could make the scenery outside the windoweven more fascinating. SUIS studentsfromupper and lower gradesgotpairedand both benefited a lot from the buddy reading activity.

拼詞拼世界

無論何時何地，只要看到蜜蜂老師的身影，協和萌娃便“蜂”擁而至，爭相參與單詞拼讀。走廊上、教室外、樓梯口……無處不在的是他們挑戰單詞接龍的稚嫩筆跡和勇于嘗試的快樂印記。

Spelling Bee是已享譽全球的頂尖級英語賽事，而在協和Spelling Bee的舞臺上，老師創造性地將各年級特色融入該項活動賽制中，令協和小選手以聽、說、讀、寫等多種方式鏖戰拼詞世界，大呼過癮。

Spelling Bee is a world famous top-level English event with a history of 94 years. Our teachers learned itscompetition system and designeddifferentformsof Spelling Beeactivities. SUISplayersenjoyed the fun spelling worldthrough their listening, speaking, reading and writing abilities.
