Book Week!! | 有一種魔法，叫做協(xié)和“讀書周”

Our SUIS Book Week was very exciting with a daily quiz and a huge book fair. This yearwe also had storytelling, a reading competition, door decoration and avariety of creative activities.
本周，協(xié)和校園里拉開了精彩的讀書周帷幕，琳瑯滿目的圖書展、挑戰(zhàn)小書蟲的每日問答、“瘋狂閱讀”照片大賽、創(chuàng)意十足的門裝飾比賽、國內(nèi)外知名“故事大王”的蒞臨都備受學生們的歡迎和喜愛。

Dress-up Day！

The vocabulary and idiom dress-up day costumes were quite impressive and creative too!On top of that, we had costume parades during assembly times.
以詞匯和慣用語為主題的服飾裝扮創(chuàng)意無限，精彩連連。老師和學生們在校會時間進行了裝扮展示，互相分享創(chuàng)意裝扮帶來的樂趣。

Storyteller!

We were lucky to have an entertaining storyteller, Carl Gough, all the way from Wales. He encouraged our students to engage in storytelling through the atmospheric use of his drone flute. Some of our Grade 5 students also participated in a workshop where they learned what makes spooky stories spooky.

作為讀書周的傳統(tǒng)活動，我們榮幸請到了一位出色的故事講述者：來自威爾士的卡爾·高夫。他鼓勵我們?nèi)轿迥昙墝W生通過使用低音長笛來講故事。五年級的一些學生還參加了他的小型培訓會，學習了使鬼故事變得更加生動的各種方法。

We welcomed Mr. Peng Yi, a famous children's literature writer, translator and picture books expert, who gave a wonderful presentation about his ‘Fantastic Journey on Paper’ to the students of Grade One and Grade Two.

我們還有幸邀請到了著名兒童文學作家、翻譯家、圖畫書研究專家彭懿老師蒞臨協(xié)和，在讀書周給一、二年級的同學們帶來了一場關(guān)于他紙上奇幻之旅的精彩講座。

He was the guide of his fantasy journey, opening the door of fantasy to children with humor and emotion. Not only were children completely immersed in the world of fantasy stories, but they also learned how to read picture books in different ways. We look forward to meeting Mr.Peng Yi again in his fantasy books.

作為一位“幻想旅程的向?qū)А保L趣幽默、聲情并茂地為孩子們打開了幻想之門，開啟了一場精彩紛呈的奇幻之旅。孩子們不僅完全沉浸在奇幻的故事世界里，還學到了閱讀繪本的不同方法。我們期待著與彭懿老師在他的奇幻故事書中再次相遇。

We also invited two famous actors from Debase theater company in Australia, Liz Skitch and Clint Bolster, to present afantastic comedy. They turned waiting into a game with imagination and creativity, which brought us great fun.

參演了上海國際藝術(shù)節(jié)的兩位澳大利亞藝術(shù)家也走進協(xié)和校園，為孩子們帶來一場充滿激情的創(chuàng)意喜劇表演。極富新奇與想象力的表現(xiàn)方式將一次原本枯燥的等待化作了驚喜連連的游戲，令在場所有師生捧腹大笑，回味無窮。

Story Writing Competition!

For our story writing competition this year there were many fabulous stories entered and the judges had a really hard time deciding on the winners.We focused on stories in which characters showed a learner profile.

本輪的故事創(chuàng)作大賽以學習者培養(yǎng)目標為主題，學生們投稿踴躍，角逐激烈。評委老師團斟酌良久才艱難選出了最后的獲獎者。

We also had a creative bookmark design competition. Our ‘Magic Reading Wall’ expanded across the main floor as students read numerous books. For every book students read they added a magical cloud coming out of a magical Aladdin lamp.

與此同時，我們還進行了創(chuàng)意書簽設計大賽，在教學樓大廳開展了“神奇閱讀”的長龍拼接，學生們紛紛把自己閱讀的書目記錄在阿拉丁神燈的蒸汽云上，為各自年級的長龍?zhí)泶u加瓦。

Door Decoration!

Door Decoration was a special cross-subjectgame which combinedreading andart. Students and teachers designed, drew and decorated doorstogether to let themforma beautiful scenery at SUIS

“門裝飾比賽”作為一項讀書周的傳統(tǒng)節(jié)目，深受孩子們的喜愛。在這場學科融合的藝術(shù)盛宴之中，老師與孩子們于閱讀之余合力策劃、設計與開展繪畫創(chuàng)作，一幅幅書中人物和故事作品在他們的巧手下競相綻放，成為校園風靡一時的勝景。
