A Visit from Atlanta International School

On the morning of April 29th, we were really happy to meet our new friends: students and teachers from Atlanta International School. Our new friends first joined all the SHSID students at the dining hall to have lunch, After lunch, teachers from Atlanta joined the principal’s forum with Ms. Bao Guohong, Mr. Shen Tianyuan and Ms. Luo Hua, while Ms. Zhuo Yue led the seven students to attend the lunch break events with SHSID primary school students. Principal Bao introduced in detail the curriculum arrangement, teaching situations, and the various popular events of SHSID.

After exchanging sweet gifts with SHSID, the students and teachers from Atlanta International School were invited into 5th graders’ classrooms and observed different lessons. In a harmonious atmosphere, both teachers and students had a heated discussion about curriculum and school life with each other and shared their experience. After two periods of classes, students from Atlanta and SHSID said goodbye to each other. Not only did the visit provide the two schools with precious opportunity to communicate, but also the students made new friends and experienced different school culture.

4月29日，周一的早晨，上海中學(xué)國(guó)際部迎來(lái)了一批新的朋友——亞特蘭大國(guó)際學(xué)校的老師與同學(xué)們。包國(guó)紅校長(zhǎng)，沈天圓主任，羅華主任與卓越老師陪同來(lái)訪師生在國(guó)際部食堂共進(jìn)午餐，然后亞特蘭大來(lái)訪團(tuán)與我校進(jìn)行了校長(zhǎng)面談。在與我校師生們交換禮物之后，亞特蘭大國(guó)際學(xué)校的師生們紛紛進(jìn)入了五年級(jí)的教室旁聽(tīng)，一同感受課堂氛圍。經(jīng)過(guò)了多門(mén)課的共同參與，來(lái)自?xún)蓚€(gè)學(xué)校的老師們與同學(xué)們就課程進(jìn)行了溝通討論，交流經(jīng)驗(yàn)。美好的時(shí)光總是很短暫，很快就到了道別時(shí)間，此次外校來(lái)訪不僅為學(xué)校雙方提供了寶貴的交流機(jī)會(huì)，也讓孩子們交到了新的朋友，理解不同學(xué)校的文化氛圍。
